This seminar will introduce students to the history, philosophy, and organization of traditional and contemporary Chinese law. Then students will research and present on topics approved by the professor. Students who take the seminar for two credits will be required to write a research paper of at least 5700 words (including footnotes). Students opting for 3 credits must write a research paper of at least 8500 words (including footnotes). The longer research paper will fulfill the ARW requirement.
