This course explores both fair housing law, and efforts to use law to make housing more available and affordable. Special attention will be paid to the following topics: the history of economic and racial segregation in zoning and housing, redlining, the Fair Housing Act, the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, and other efforts to promote affordable housing.
