Advanced Evidence picks up where Evidence leaves off. It will focus on certain advanced doctrinal topics such as scientific evidence, expert testimony, and privileges. In addition to examining federal law governing these topics, this course will also examine state law variations, with a particular emphasis on Minnesota practice. The course has a significant research and writing component -- the majority of the grade will be based on several short papers.
