The course provides an overview of accounting concepts and the practical uses of accounting and financial information. Topics will include fundamental accounting rules and practices, understanding and using general purpose financial statements, and the application of accounting data and financial principles to assess business performance and value and make other business decisions. Students will work on exercises that apply accounting methodologies to record, measure, analyze and compare performance.
