Seminar: Critical Lawyering in Today’s World (4085)


This course explores various critical theories as they apply to current legal questions and institutions. Students will be expected to familiarize themselves with the basics of poverty theory, critical race theory, queer theory, feminist theory and intersectionality. The seminar will be highly interactive and collaborative; students will lead discussions, present materials, engage in simulations and role-plays, and write a substantive research paper. This course qualifies as a Long Paper offering.
